IFE has a long history in the automotive industry.
In 1925, Volvo approached AB Pentaverken, an IFE owned company that produced the famous Penta marine engine, to develop and produce the first engine for Volvo cars.
IFE produced the 4 cylinder, 28 HP automobile engine along with the Penta marine engines, until exiting the engine business in the 1930s.
Today, IFE supplies connection and protection products for automobiles,
heavy trucks, buses and motorcycles for both OE and aftermarket.
IFE offers products for traditional gasoline and diesel engines as well as electric (both battery and hydrogen) and CNG powered propulsion.
